Kashi Yoga system follows five methods:

● Asana (Yoga postures),

● Pranayama (breath regulations),

● Swadyaya (self-study and contemplate),

● Ahara and Ayurveda (proper food and balanced lifestyle)

● Dyanam (meditation).

This order is designed for developing and disciplining a systematic Yoga practice of yoga asanas, pranayama and meditation techniques.

The intention of Yoga is to educate humanity to think and do actions beyond the limitations of age,gender, religion and nationalities. Therefore, Yoga aims to awaken human consciousness and experience " Ananda” or Bliss in one’s life.

Workshop Syllabus

The Kashi Yoga approach is based on Yoga and Ayurveda. These two practices fit perfectly for our well-being and to experience inner balance and happiness. Our workshop is held with the intention for participants to rejuvenate and recharge with right environment and guidance. You will feel the inner

connection with your body, mind, senses, thoughts, and emotions in a pleasant way. Our primary focus is to demonstrate the traditional and authentic meaning of Yoga practice, thus providing a platform for you to achieve your divine nature and attain inner peace, to equip you with the knowledge and skills to implement Yoga into your everyday life and to connect to your higher-self.

1. Asana (posture)

An ounce of practical experience is much better than tons of theory. Practice and realize it.

Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in the world. Asana practice increases body awareness, improves strength and flexibility, and keeps illnesses from plaguing the body. Asana practice enables the body to survive in ay climate and social condition. Regular practice removes blockages in the

body and mind.

2. Pranayama (breath regulations)

When the breath wanders, the mind also is unsteady. But when the breath is calmed, the mind will too be still, and the yogi achieves a long life. Therefore, one should learn to control the breath.

(Hatha Yoga Pradipika)

Pranayama is the bst way to gain control over the body and mind. When prana fills the body, a person attains a state free of physical and mental diseases. Where prana is, mind is; where mind is, prana is.

3. Swadyaya (self-study and contemplate)

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self to the self.”

(The Bhagavad Gita)

A Mantra is a sacred specific sound form in order to awaken our inner potential energy (Kundalini) and purify Pranic – vital energy – channels and Chakras. It is absolutely a clear path that everyone can enjoy to experience a deeper meditative state. Sravana (listen) and Manana (contemplate) are the first qualities one has to develop in order to culture one’s personal life as well as build a good foundation in Yoga practice. This is an essential part of Yoga philosophy. During the workshop, we teach and practice

the proper use of ancient mantras.

4. Ahara and Ayurveda (proper food, balanced lifestyle)

“Ayu” or Life is the combination of body, senses, mind and reincarnating soul. Ayurveda is the most sacred science of life, beneficial to humans both in this world and the world beyond.

(Charaka Samhita, Sutrasthana, I. 42-34)

During the workshop, we also introduce Ayurveda, the ancient Indian traditional healing system for each

individual body type in order to help attain a balanced lifestyle through a healthy diet.

5. Dyanam (meditation)

"Achintaiva param dhyanam - To be thoughtless is the highest form of meditation."

(Sri Sankaracharya)

To experience the benefits of meditation, regular practice is necessary.



The word 'ayur’ means life and Veda is knowledge. Ayurveda means knowledge of life. As we know how ancient the tradition of yoga same as for ayurveda has developed by saints in India  for human prosperity and contented  life. Ayurvedic healing is based upon our connection with the soul that is the origin of life.ayurveda it's self is a form of yoga. It can be called the the yoga of healing. 

For a person proper growth and contented life, ayurveda system contribute great support from child birth to old age.

5 days hatha vinyasa beginners course

This 5 days retreat focus much more the importants of breath and its nature in life. The way we move, think, act or react, and especially breathe contributes to the flow and vitality of our prana, the universal energy that runs through us and everything around us. In this lifelong journey, your breath is the most intimate companion, helping you to attain good relationship between your body and mind. -During this retreat we will explore: *Breath as a tool to consciously control the non-physical subtle energy within your own being *Using pranayamas or yogic breathing exercises to cleanse and strengthen your physical body while calming your mind *Ways to use breathing as a path to pure consciousness

Yog Sri Santhosh Karunakaran




Santhosh has been a yoga  practitioner for 30 years. He has been following the concept and integration of yoga and ayurveda. He born in a traditional yoga and ayurveda family in Kerala, India. 

He obtained a Bachelor of Arts diploma at the Kerala University in philosophy and religious studies. Santhosh deepened his knowledge and taught in Yoga at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala and Himalaya for over 5 years. He has studied yoga, ayurveda,  indian healing and therapy  under eminent gurus  in India. 

He established Kashi Yoga in 2005, where he conduct retreats and training classes for yoga and ayurveda. As well as promoting permaculture, organic healthy food culture, sustainable environment system etc
